My Inspiration
Many artists have captured my imagination through their artwork. I may have some favourite artists, but I credit all artworks I have ever encountered. Each and every single work of art represents an important essence in the world of imagination. Art is not about skill, rather it represents a means of expression. Everyone is an artists and through art one can create their own world and express themselves. It is through this expression of the self that I find myself inspired.
However, some artworks captured my attention more than others because I could feel something for it. Emotions play a major role in art. For instance the artwork below is one of my favourite prints by the artist Martha Gottfried, titled "Lepa Zena.
When admiring this work of art I feel free. Horses are powerful animals that represent freedom. This equestrian scene brings me joy because I feel free. It also reminds me of ancient roman times, and considering I have a passion for ancient history I can admire it even more. The horse seems to be one with the paper, and I especially admire how the artist not only depicted a horse (one of my favourite animals) but also the galloping motion, and this using ink.
You do not need to be famous to inspire others. art is seeing through someone else's eyes and entering their world. I appreciate not only the beauty of the world but the emotions it possesses.
