Note: When working with children as you wait for paint to dry, have the kids practice the dot painting technique on a piece of paper.
Step 2:
Once the paint is dry, use a piece of chalk to draw or trace. Trace an Australian animal.
Note: With young children it helps to give them carton animal silhouettes to trace with the chalk.
Step 3:
Use a embossing stylus or the bottom of a paint brush. Apply on the acrylic paint of different colors and create dots on the canvas.
Start with the silhouette of the animal using one color, then create details inside the animal and finish with the background, all while using different colors.
Note: For young children using Q-tips can be easier.
