Value: the visible lightness or darkness of a color. White is the lightest value; black is the darkest. The value halfway between these extremes is called middle gray.
Hatching: is an artistic technique used to create tonal or shading effects by drawing (or painting or scribing) closely spaced parallel lines.
Cross-hatching: to draw or shade with two or more intersecting series of parallel lines.
Shading: depicting levels of darkness on paper by applying media more densely or with a darker shade for darker areas, and less densely or with a lighter shade for lighter areas.
Line: An element of art defined as a point moving in space.
Space: An element of art in which positive and negative areas are defined or a sense of depth achieved in a work of art.
Texture: An element of art that refers to the way things feel or appear to feel if they were to be touched.
Hue: Name of color.
Intensity: Quality of brightness and purity. High intensity is when the color is strong and bright, low intensity is when the color is faint and dull.
Shape: An element of art that is 2D, flat and limited to height and width.
