Weaving

Definition: the craft or action of forming fabric by interlacing threads. It often involves                  using a loom to hold the thread or yarn, although it can also be done by                      hand.

Weave:

• To form (cloth) by interlacing strands  specifically : to make (cloth) on a loom by interlacing warp and filling threads.
• To interlace (threads) into cloth.

Loom:
-A frame or machine for interlacing  right angles two or more sets of threads ​or yarns to form a cloth

Creating a Cardboard Loom

      Not everyone has their own loom, but anyone can make one. It is easy to create, as all you need is string and a piece of cardboard. This type of project is great with children to introduce the topic of weaving. Materials can easily be found around the house.
