Goal: To Explore the print technique using leaves and acrylic paint.
Time: 30 minutes not including the time to wait for paint to dry (do activity 2when waiting for paint to dry).
Materials
-Fresh Leaves, ideally small ones
-Scissors
-Masking Tape
-Paint Roller
-Medium Paint Brush
-Mixed Media Paper
-Acrylic Paint (prepared ahead of time in palettes for younger students)
-Smaller Paintbrush
-Water jar
Art Making Steps
Step 1: Tape the edges of the paper to the table with masking tape to create a frame. Step 2: Mix 2-3 different acrylic colours to create your background. Step 3: Wait to dry (15 mins), meanwhile start activity 2 (look below for instructions).
Step 4: Paint the textured side of the leaf with acrylic paint and press in on your painting. Do it several times to cover the paper, and wait for it to dry.
Step 5: Once dry, remove the masking tape gently.

Activity 2 Leaf Rubbing Watercolour
Goal: Trying the Rubbing technique to recrate the leaves, and outline its contour and add watercolours. This is meant as a watercolour exploration activity.
Time: 30 minutes, this is an activity to be done while waiting for the acrylic paint to dry in activity 1.
