Self-Portrait Drawings
When teaching your first class you do not yet know your students. So what better way to get to know them, their artistic ability and their interest then to have them create a self-portrait drawing! This idea applied to any age group whether it be young children, teens or the elderly. This simple lesson allows the teacher and students to get acquainted.
Goal:
- To create a self-portrait image that reflects an interest or passion you have.
My Prototype Example: Myself as the Pirate Lord. I love tales of adventures and the golden age of piracy is something that fascinates my inner desire for adventure and travel.
Materials
- Standard 8x11 piece of paper
- Pencils
- Erasers
- Color Pencils or markers
My Prototype
I love tales of adventures and piracy! So I did a self-portrait as myself as a pirate.
