Project Steps
Warm-up Activity
Step 1: Design a warm/cold colour wheel as a warmup (25 minutes)
Main Activity
Step 2: Tape the border of the paper to the table to create a frame and divide it in half with a tape.
Step 3: Draw your idea for day on the left side and night on the right side using a HB pencil.
Step 4: Retrace the pencil lines with a black sharpie and erase pencil marks.
Step 5: Add the warm colours to the left side and the cold colours to the right side. You can use black and white to create darker and light tones of the colours.
Note: Use Q-tips to blend the colours so you do not see the paper anymore.
Step 6: After retracing over liens with a black oil pastel and adjusting small details, gently remove the tape.
Step 7: Add mod podge to the image with a paintbrush and wait 5 minutes for it to dry
